Cities also interact poorly with Grand Mirrors and Head of the King. Their layouts frequently complicate Atlas planning, while Grand Mirrors often fail to cover entire city clusters. These awkward interactions make otherwise rewarding mechanics feel frustrating and unnecessarily restrictive.
Biome bonuses add another layer of complexity that many players believe contributes little to actual gameplay. Because certain farming strategies perform significantly better in specific biomes, players spend additional time searching for ideal map layouts rather than simply enjoying combat. The system increases preparation without making the game more entertaining.
Grand Mirrors present similar concerns. Since Delirium remains one of the strongest mapping mechanics, players often waste considerable time waiting for Grand Mirrors to appear before beginning serious farming sessions. Making Grand Mirrors tradable would eliminate unnecessary randomness while creating a healthier economy around Delirium content.
Difficulty is another topic worth discussing. Over multiple patches, bosses have gradually become easier while player builds have grown stronger. Many veteran players feel the game now lacks truly challenging encounters that reward mastering advanced mechanics. Introducing Uber bosses or similar high-end content would provide dedicated players with meaningful objectives beyond standard farming.
Skill balance also requires additional attention. Although overall build diversity is excellent, certain skills remain vastly stronger than others, while weaker options struggle to compete. Continued balancing should focus on improving underperforming skills without reducing the impressive variety introduced in Patch 0.5.
The reduction in Delirium difficulty has also disappointed many experienced players. Previously, high Delirium maps offered one of the game's few genuinely dangerous experiences. Lowering their difficulty reduced the excitement of pushing powerful builds to their limits. Optional challenge should remain available for players who actively seek more demanding content.
Finally, recent adjustments to map rolling feel unnecessary. Increasing the number of Omens required to craft high-quality maps slows down preparation while adding very little strategic depth. Instead of making crafting more interesting, the change simply introduces additional steps that many players view as tedious.
Overall, Patch 0.5 is an outstanding update that pushes Path of Exile 2 closer than ever to realizing its enormous potential.
