  Enter the Caverns of Mourning

  Location: Eastern edge of Path of Exile 2 Currency Act 4’s campaign map.

  Enemy Types: Spirit-bound Karui warriors, soul-leeches, and necrotic hounds.

  Hazards: Periodic soul vortexes that drain mana if you stand in them.

  You’ll need to navigate this dungeon-style zone, which contains multiple branching paths. Look for Soulfire Braziers, as lighting these clears paths deeper into the caverns.

  Step 3 – Unlock the Sealed Passage

  At the deepest point of the Caverns of Mourning, you’ll find a Sealed Passage blocked by spectral chains. To open it, you must:

  Defeat three Soulbound Lieutenants scattered across the zone.

  Collect their Fragmented Sigils.

  Place the sigils on the altar at the Sealed Passage.

  Doing so unlocks the door to the Well of Souls.

  Step 4 – Enter the Well of Souls

  Once the passage is opened, you’ll descend into the Well of Souls proper, a sprawling multi-layered dungeon.

  Zone Theme: A corrupted ritual chamber filled with glowing soul pools and chained spirits.

  Atmosphere: Dim lighting, soul screams in the background, and ghostly NPC echoes narrating past events.

  Checkpoint: A Soulfont waypoint appears at the entrance, allowing you to buy POE 2 Chaos Orbs return easily after death.
